Among all the chicanery of last year's politicking, the disinformation campaign waged by operatives at http://www.matthew25.org/ ranks as the most offensive. Having aided and abetted anti-life candidates and causes by duping impressionable, uninformed and uncatechized voters, these silver-tongued sophists are busy putting a Christian spin on the Obama administration's manifold violations of the natural moral law.
The charade requires twisting the Gospel message. Quoting from the 25th chapter of Matthew, these brazen hucksters promote abortion, euthanasia, contraception, cloning and lethal human experimentation as if they were corporal works of mercy.
I'm hard pressed to convey, by word alone, my opinion of those who use the Word of God to further such manifest evil. Hence, the cartoon... a cartoon that applies not only to these shameless dissemblers, but to Roe-era America in general.

Oh...but they sincerely love Jesus, don't ya know? The sad thing is, I think they really do. How they can be so misled, I cannot begin to comprehend. A Matthew 25 adherent said to me before the election..."I don't like abortion, but there are other important things to think about during elections, like taxes for instance." Pu-leez, at least be original, I thought to myself, before I patiently tried to point her toward the fact that the value of life is way more important than taxes (which the Democrats will raise anyway, no matter what they promise). She still voted for Obama.
Great cartoon. Will anyone print it? I doubt it--most people only want to look at things that make them feel comfortable and sure of themselves. Good job, though.
I'm going to post this page to my Facebook profile. This is a great editorial. After all, every child is created in the image of God.

Send your cartoon to Jill Stanek. http://www.jillstanek.com
She will love it.
Good insight again, cartoon is great. Have you considered tweeting some tidbits of your blog?
Abortion is one of many (no doubt the most evil) fruits of contraception along with sodomy, fornication, divorce and pornography Pope Paul VI foretold of the consequences of accepting contraception after it had been considered evil by all Christian Churches for over 1900 years.
As the U.S. Supreme Court stated in Planned Parenthood vs. Casey in 1992, legalized abortion will continue because it is required as a backup for failed contraception.
The killing will continue and millions more will be added to the pile of murdered children because of contraception.

A real life example of :
Woe to you that call evil good, and good evil: that put darkness for light, and light for darkness: that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter. Isaiah 5:20
When I first ran across these silver-tongued frauds, Luke 17 came instantly to mind:
"It is impossible that scandals should not come; but woe to him through whom they come! It were better for him if a millstone were hung about his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin."
John,
Who is the author of the quote under your blog's name?
The quote, strictly speaking , is mine; that is, the specific wording. I can't take credit, of course, for the sentiments. I can't recall for certain, but I'm pretty certain the first one comes from JPII. The second might, too, but perhaps it was Mother Teresa. I think I heard all this from Dr. Charles Rice on his wonderful EWTN program on the natural law, "The Good Code."
Anyway, all of it is right out of Catholic theological/moral teaching.
